Andrew would claim that, since the scientists are alive, it's
life from existing life and therefore not abiogenesis.  Even
though the ingredients are all inorganic.

That's how creationists claim there was never any
abiogenesis... God was "alive", therefore life from life.
Never mind that they can't show you any definition of "life"
that covers gods, except by special pleading.
