Well known and liked community member non-law-enforcement 
interventionists consistently rank better statistically at preventing 
violent crimes from firearms in disadvantaged and gang affiliated 
communities. And when people rely on someone to say when it's okay to do 
what they decided someone gets alienated when the authority decides 
who's side they're on (in reality it's nobody's and everybody's side 
they're on at the exact same time and in the exact same way). Thus, we 
give up some of our freedom towards disagreement and self determination 
every time we gamble with giving up our basic human freedoms and rights 
to an authoritative figure for the off chance they actually side with us 
in the long run without changing an absurd amount of terms to that 
agreement (and that assumes even further that there isn't already 
bribery involved even though their definitely literally always is). We 
inherently ostracize people as humans, that's natural, but extremely 
highly unfortunate. As truly and actually and legitimately mature adults 
we should strive to do otherwise and always try to be the bigger person 
and not the most utterly fucking retarded one in any given circumstance.
