Its historical accuracy depends upon whether one sees the action in the photo as Will Donkey staring at a strange booger he'd just extracted from his nose, or Will Donkey staring at a strange insect he'd just extracted from his hair. Since the booger interpretation is the least embarrassing alternative, I should think you'd be happy to accept it.
