I can't confirm whether the Donkeytitses are on speaking terms with Joey, but his imprisonment for the sexual exploitation of a minor is a matter of record.

Since folklore almost invariably proceeds from a real person or event, and since A.A.P.C.'s history only goes back 27 or 28 years, there's a strong likelihood that the bulk of its folklore is going to be pretty accurate.
