The idea that A.A.P.C. had developed its own folklore came from MummyChunk. I find this premise, that a folklore could develop around an Usenet group and its members, to be worthy of further exploration. Folklore is more interesting than a conventional history of the group, because it represents how the group has come to think of itself. By isolating the persons and events that have already become a part of our folklore (as of August 2026), I am providing both future folklorists and future historians with s snapshot of our folklore in its earliest stages of development. I am also examining each of the isolated persons/events in follow-up posts, I am presenting said future folklorists/historians with a record of the historical facts from which each individual piece of folklore has grown. I am aware that a good deal of the folklore regarding yourself, isn't exactly... flattering. However, I must ask you to bear with it in that it shall prove invaluable for anyone in future generations who seeks to document A.A.P.C.'s story for posterity.
