Honda 1990 Civic Si 2 door hatchback.

Hi,

I want to lift the bottom cushion of the rear seat.

Appears its held down by two clips or loops of heavy wire 
extending down through slots in the steel panel below.
One of these clips on each side.

How are the clips released to release the cushion?
