PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman was arrested after shooting a man in the head and barricading herself inside a Crooked River Ranch home, authorities said. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the home in just after 3:00 p.m. on Aug. 17 after receiving reports that a man had been shot in the head. When deputies arrived the victim was able to walk outside of the home and was promptly taken to a hospital in Bend where he is expected to recover. Officials said that while that was going on, the Central Oregon Emergency Response team arrived and learned that a suspect, Karen McKay, 60, was barricaded in the home with a gun. More emergency officials responded which included a BearCat SWAT vehicle and eventually McKay left the home and surrendered authorities said. https://www.koin.com/news/oregon/woman-arrested-man-shot-in-head-in-crooked-river-ranch-jefferson-county/
