Nirsoft Smartsniff not really doing much anymore

Ever since I "updated" to Windows 10 (which I have nothing but the
utmost hatred for), Nirsoft's Smartsniff doesn't really do much anymore.
I have installed Npcap:

so that I can use the "WinPcap Packet Capture Driver" option in
Smartsniff. I've also gone into the Windows Firewall and made incoming
and outgoing rules for Smartsniff, but when I run the program before
starting my cable modem, it only shows three items. I always run it
concurrently with CurrPorts, and Currports shows the usual unacceptable
massive amounts of chatter between Windows 10 and M$, but Smartsniff
doesn't show any of those connections.

Am very strongly considering going back to Wireshark and trying
something which is a good substitute for Microsoft's "Process Explorer".

So that I don't see them, I filter out crossposts (messages sent to
multiple newsgroups at a time) and from various trolls. If you do the
same, the group will be easier for you to read.
