Did you try, as in the forum thread, to instead click on the Run button
in CCleaner even while the ad window was open?  Previously the ad window
was not modal: it did not lock out accessing the parent's window.  If it
is now modal, guess you'll have to block its outbound connects to avoid
getting hit with Avast's marketing campaigns, or use something else.
