Have you tried runnng it in the capatibility mode, there is mode for Win7 and then run it as the Administrator. I just downloaded a copy of the zip file, then extrated the contents of the exe file and ran it like a portable version. The first popup infomed me that this version was registered and for me to registered it. I ignored the alert and tried it and it seems to work.....
