Just to let you know further, I ran the clipboard montoring feature and 
just typed a few works to the clipboard, and up poped a small screen 
informing me that the clipboard had been changed..... It definitely 
works in win 7 it you run it in the capattbility mode.  After playing 
around with it a little, I can put up with the request to register 
screen startup, just a minor hiccup. I think I'll play around with it a 
little longer.
