I have for years used CCleaner to scan my registry for problems or
junk left in after uninstalls. Never have I had a problem with this.

However, I always do save a copy of my registry with Erunt before
letting CCleaner do it's thing.

I know registry cleaners are held suspect and/or inherently useless
for a number of reasons. But I thought I'd just mention this.

Older versions of CCleaners are simple, useful and lack the complexity
which usually causes problems.

But then, what in the hey does a non-tekkie know except that simple is
usually better. Like the KISS Principle states: Keep It Simple,
Stupid.

NTREGOPT is nice, too.
