It would seem that their official release about their x670e AM5 motherboards is solid: all but one do support ECC. The RAM modules that also do are a no brainer, THE monkey-wrench in the mesh gears is the Ryzen CPU the more recent ones of which do NOT cater to ECC because they are 'consumer' oriented products. With the X670E boards that do support it, always subject also to the use of legit ECC RAM sticks, 'some' Ryzen-5 CPU's must be used for full ECC service. I'll come back to this after I get my the next ration of 'enlightment'.

Except that I have already shelved the purchase for a minimum of 12
months. With this kind of 3-way dependency each maker should list the
other two components made by those makers. Next time I decide to order
the ECC trinity it'll have to be all there ready to click in seconds
fully documented in the ads and everywhere else. If not, then another 12
months :-)
