I'm using DDG (as Google now refuses to work without JS), but yes, I've 
noticed that too - but starting *years* before the AI crazyness of 
nowerdays. :-|

I would *love* to have a modus where all the provided keywords *must* appear 
in the results (as was customary all those years ago).  But I'm afraid that 
all those search-engines think they know *way* better what I need than I do 
myself. :-(

But ... do you have any insights to my posted problem ?
