Don't you know that, MS-DOS is now a safe haven, and Windows 9x/ME have become much safer place? There's no more new malware there, since malware authors no longer interrested on old systems. Moreover in current systems, successful rootkits have become more and more difficult to achieve, as more security holes have been patched. The weak link nowaday is not security holes, but clueless users.
