A 'mayday' WAS declared - windshear? (had 2 in my career, BOTH quasi crashes) - birds (had 1, engine blew) - hydraulic failure (had 1)? - engine failure (had 1)? - systems issue, 2-engine power degradation? - were the engines firewalled? - CAN engines be firewalled at all? just guessing (not type rated), bizarre for a model that can take off almost vetically: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYbM-3E11Qo
