There's a long-standing British tradition of nutters and attention-seekers standing for Parliament in the constituency of the current Prime Minister - you pay your 500 quid deposit and you're on the ballot paper. The outcome of that is when the constituency results are read out at 4 or 5am the morning after votes were cast, you have the Prime Minister of the UK on stage standing alongside 20 or so lunatics - including Lord/Count Binface in these instances.
