i.e., being unable to send anything directly, and unwilling to leave it at  
that even though i said it's ok mate, it's the thought that counts etc, he  
eventually resorted to purchasing a copy from amazon in india so i  
received a royalty that way instead, the extra copy he now has to be  
gifted to friend of his...

prices in india being far lower and providing only a 35% royalty instead  
of 70, i subsequently received a grand total of £1.27 from him, much lower  
than the £4.99 he originally wanted to pay

even so, that's still an incredible royalty to receive for a single copy  
compared to traditional publishing houses, whereby any author would be  
lucky to receive between 7 to 10% at best?

so am chuffed to pieces really at such a lovely gesture of insistence on  
his part...

that there 'are' such decent people in the world being the nicest gesture  
of all?

all of which is taken as a clear nod/wink from infinity to: carry-on!

(redoubling my efforts accordingly here boss! and which appears to be  
working)
