does one gauge its having been a minimal success or not?

well there's lots of criteria that potentially influences all that, but an  
obvious one is sales and the minimum of copies sold that suggests a book  
being minimally successful or not; 10,000 copies being this generally  
agreed upon minimum, this representing there being now at least 10,000  
people who've actually bought and read it! (not a definitive stat in  
itself just a good indication)

that although 'The WILD Way To Lucid Dreaming' hasn't sold anything like  
that (think more along the lines of just under 2,000 sold and another  
1,000+ given away) the 'Videos' however - which represent the book chapter  
for chapter - are now actually hovering around that 10,000 mark, there  
having being at least 10,000 views on each of the first 3 videos in the  
series which are the strictly how-to-do-it parts of the whole thing! there  
being a total of 93,000 views for the series overall (14 videos), but  
those first 3 have all now topped 10,000 views each in their own right!

iow: there is likely now at least 10,000 people walking around on the  
planet in 31 different countries (as indicated from book sales geography)  
who've heard of, viewed/read, and/or even bought a copy, possibly even  
more but at least that many, thus suggesting that the publication has, to  
all extents & purposes anyway, actually been a minimum success... and  
that, imho, is pretty damn cool :)

the feedback/reviews has been terrific too, such that no author could  
possibly ask for more??

lol it just goes on and on and on, (83 comments/reviews currently) all  
basically raving about the experiences they're having and how they can't  
believe it and stuff? even our man chris is in there saying a lot (unusual  
for him at the best of times) - not to mention the 5-star Reader's  
Favourite silver award to boot?? (oh yeah...)

it's all quite dizzying stuff anyway haha, and really rather humbling...

the videos soon to be formed into a double DVD, as not everyone in the  
world has/uses youtube and that would be another way for people to get to  
see 'em, my not giving a damn about money (i really don't lol) they can  
thus be priced at just over cost, and i'd genuinely like that...

just remember that you saw it all here first folks ;)
