cannabis... and the law :)

and came across this dude on youtube reviewing one of the most expensive=

check out some of his other reviews, and am looking through what is  =

actually quite a long list of vids and reading some of the comments and =

stuff, when i come across some remarks re the legal side of things?

this guy turning out to be a kind of activist in his own right as one of=

his short vids shows him collecting his confiscated cannabis items from =
 =

the police station, my keen interest being aroused at this point as to  =

what happened and why, and he's made some videos about it!

and so here he is reviewing medical strains and now also giving legal  =

advice via his channel to users about what to do about it if arrested an=
d  =

there's a debate as to what's legal and what's not, and i'm getting more=
 &  =

more interested by the minute?

e.g., in the comments one person relating a personal event in starbucks =
 =

and a manager being nasty to them and calling the police when this perso=
n  =

started vaping cannabis in there (laughing, coz that IS a bit cheeky  =

innit) and our man coming back to them saying that's all wrong, the law =
 =

having changed businesses are supposed to make reasonable adjustments fo=
r  =

disabled people being prescribed cannabis, in coffeebars, cinemas, on  =

buses/trains, and/or on/in whatever other public services, OR you can su=
e  =

them!!! and lol this includes suing the police for wrongful arrest!  =

(currently worth about =C2=A31,500) and apparently by law they haven't g=
ot a  =

leg to stand on and you WILL win AND be compensated!

this particular dude and his channel making a point of 'educating' vario=
us  =

businesses and police stations by writing to them, and, if neccessary, b=
y  =

example and collecting any compensations via no-win-no-fee solicitors  =

who're apparently only too happy to take-on such cases because they win =
 =

every time! and matey's encouraging others to do the same as a means to =
 =

spreading the word about medical usage now being legal!

all this revealing the state of play only 2 weeks ago with the law and  =

medical users in the uk and what's actually going-on in society today  =

because of it, this dude taking it upon himself to 'educate' various  =

businesses (and police stations heh) due to people being discriminated  =

against for having to take a prescribed medicine, something that's not a=
  =

problem with any other medicines but is with cannabis that has to be  =

inhaled and that has a distinct smell...

smile, i'd wanted to find out a bit more about the law and all this didn=
't  =

i, and now i have, cheers, although this particular dude got raided at  =

home for possession and had his items confiscated (which is how he's now=
  =

got a video of him collecting it from the police station a few days late=
r  =

when they realised they had to give it back!!!)

he'd told them at the time he was a medical user and showed them his  =

prescriptions (which they immediately claimed were fake) and refused to =
 =

call his clinic for confirmation... him ultimately seeing all this as  =

being yet another police station being educated about 'the law' (in whic=
h  =

ignorance is no defense, especially for the police) and thus hopefully  =

wont be raiding any others before at least checking out if they're medic=
al  =

users or not...

iow: as yet there's clearly no available database of medical users for t=

police to refer to!

these laws, which, although am not going to be using or carrying any  =

around in public anytime soon, i think i'd like a copy of to keep at hom=

basically, as long as you're at home doing it (coz they's not quite sure=

yet about people using in public), you have a valid prescription, and so=
me  =

kind of an approved medical vaping-kit to do it with (because 'smoking' =
it  =

is still illegal), then technically you're allowed to do it and you can'=
t  =

be raided or arrested for it, this apparently being extended to public  =

usage as well on the basis that people may need to take their medication=
s  =

wherever they are and it's no one else's business what what they do... t=
o  =

be asked to leave a restaurant or a bus because of it being classed as  =

unreasonable!

interesting huh, especially if/when the police themselves often don't kn=
ow  =

the law?
