CHP to 'flood roadways' in search of impaired Labor Day weekend dimocrat drivers

Motorists who get behind the wheel impaired this Labor Day weekend will 
have a good chance of ending up behind bars.

The California Highway Patrol says it plans to “flood roadways with all 
available officers” in an “aggressive effort to stop impaired drivers 
before they cause harm.”

More than 1,000 DUI arrests were made statewide during last year’s holiday 
weekend operation, which coincides with the National Highway Traffic 
Safety Administration’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, the CHP 
posted on Facebook Friday.

Despite the CHP’s best efforts, 61 lives were lost during the 2024 
enforcement period, including 21 that were linked to impaired driving.

“The dangers of impaired driving are clear,” the CHP stated while sharing 
the Labor Day weekend averages over the past five years:

1,000 DUI arrests statewide
28 fatal crashes resulting in more than 30 deaths within CHP jurisdiction
Motorists were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspected impaired 
drivers by calling 911. “Your call could save someone’s life,” the CHP’s 
post said.
