Barry Manilow said Tuesday night that he had to cancel his Lexington
concert “due to unforeseen circumstances.” “Due to unexpected and
unforeseen circumstances, the Barry Manilow concert scheduled for tonight,
August 4 at Rupp Arena is postponed,” a statement posted on the Central
Bank Center website stated. “All previously purchased tickets will be
honored at the new date once it is announced.”

The concert, billed as “The Last Lexington Concert,” was scheduled to begin
at 7 p.m. Manilow, 83, was diagnosed with lung cancer last December. He had
originally been scheduled to perform in Lexington March 9 as part of a
farewell tour, but that concert ended up being rescheduled as well.
Manilow, known for hits including “Mandy,” “Copacabana” and “Looks Like We
Made It,” is scheduled to play Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati
Wednesday.
