Problem with Foobar2000

Only newsgroup I could find that seems at all related....

Foobar2000, when told to PLAY anything on the drive, returns: 

Unrecoverable playback error: Element not found.   (0x80070490)

I have found lots of references to this number, but none that relate
to Foobar2000.  Help please?
