Welcome to the all new mailing list of PHP beta testing.  If you're here it
means you've been kind enough to volunteer to the PHP beta testing team.

We don't have a structured beta testing process, but we'll hopefully
develop one as time goes by.  Right now, what we'll do is before each
release, we'd notify this list about the release, which will not yet be
available for wide download, but in a different, unreferenced URL.  Each
one of you, as time allows you, will download this package, and test it as
much as he can.

Testing includes:
* Checking that the configuration goes through properly
* Ensuring the code compiles cleanly.  Please report warnings as well, they
might be leads on errors.
* If you're compiling the CGI version, checking that 'make test' passes all
of the tests.
* Randomly testing that the new version runs the scripts on your site
properly.

Problem reports should go back to this mailing list.  All of the core
developers are subscribed to it as well.
