Oh, I have seen in bug #781 dbopen(). This is also contained in Berkeley
DB 1.85. DB 2.4.14 use db_open().  Ralf S. Engelschall made here a
distinction between DB 1/2 for mod_auth_db.  

Last week I would read htdig's DB 2, but PHP3 offered me only flat file
support. I know that Shane had made some changes to DB support.

GDBM support worked very well.
