Bug description:  echo '<pre>'.var_dump($this->db); prints only array :)

Description:

When i try to use this contruct:

<?php
  echo '<pre>'.var_dump($db);
?>

then its doing same that:
<?php
  var_dump($db);
?>

but 
<?php
  echo '<pre>';var_dump($db);
?>

Work fine :)
