This bug has been fixed in SVN.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change

Fixed in OCI8 1.4.2 and PHP 5.3.3

This is due to the oci_bind_by_name type check introduced

This problem is present in OCI8 1.4.0 and 1.4.1
