well I looked it up in my book and tried this example but still get the same
thing, the first record

    $result = mysql_query ($query) ;
    //$row = mysql_fetch_array($result);
    while ($row = mysql_fetch_row($result)){
    for ($i=0; $i<mysql_num_fields($result); $i++)
        echo $row[$i] . " ";
        //print a return for neatness sake
        echo "\n";
