My sources of information README.CVS-RULES, the building from cvs web page) were very good, but missed some vital clues. While many have been very patient with me (thanks), I found it frustrating to ask questions that seem to be obvious to others .... like: * trying to build php4 head for two days, only to be told that I should be building PHP_4_3 or php5 head. * forgetting about re2c, which is not mentioned anywhere that I could find, but I found through freshmeat and had a lovely time trying to build :-) I am taking note of the problems I encountered and was planning on updating something (README.CVS-RULES ?) after another week or so.
