Is there a technical reason that lib_auth.inc.php hasn't yet been committed?

If it's just messy, or something like that, I think the rest of us could 
benefit from having it committed.

None of the rest of us are able to test our instances of docweb without 
it (or hacking up a workaround), with respect to the login code.

As for your suggestion, I think that would be pretty easy to implement, 
once we have access to all of the parts.

... I also noticed that the login page doesn't seem to care that I have 
the *.php.net magic cookie. Is this intentional for some reason?
