While I understand that you're trying now to separate your online persona from your real identity, that is going to be very difficult for you do competely. That doesn't mean that we couldn't assist by deleting this specific information (I'm not sure if the policy would permit it) but as others have said any NNTP feed is propagated in a nearly unlimited and unrestricted way, that can be achieved or stored in many other places, and Google is not the only indexing location to find this information. But the reason is that it is going to be difficult is that you have associated your name with you username in so many other placed beyond wiki. For example: 1. Also, it appears that your domain name now has a 'private registration', but it looks like it initially had your real name associated with it and several websites have cached that info. 2. Your website seemed to also contain personal info, and while it is now currently not available, that data has been cached at several online websites 3. Your github code, include your real name in parts of the code 4. I found a website that associates your username to a business IP address While I'm not sure what "personal reason" you're trying to distance your your online identify, but if it is for anything more than casual preference, my recommendation is that you might need to rather start fresh, with a brand new, completely different identity that never has any public link with your real self. If I can dig this up in a few minutes of online searching, if you're really trying to distance yourself from Xatenev, you're going to have to start fresh with a new username. ________________________________ From: X X <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2023 3:13 AM To: Karoly Negyesi <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Removing specific E-Mails related to myself for personal privacy reasons from the mailing list Hello, that is true, but those are not really indexed via google (at least I don't find them for the relevant keywords) and thus require a lot more effort to find. The site I linked (marc.info<http://marc.info/>) is the only site that I found in search engines that has the relevant mails and they confirmed that they would respect changes to the underlying mailing list. Quote: "I notice the news-web.php.net<http://news-web.php.net/> site still has copies of all these mails. I don't know if you've already been in contact with them, but if they (the official archives run by the list admins) remove or edit those messages, we will make the same changes at MARC:" Thanks! Not only on the Web but this list is also available over NNTP which means it's archived from Usenet newsgroups as well, and while NNTP has a cancel message there's no guarantee the servers holding your posts would even receive it much less honor it. The E-Mails I am talking about below were all sent to the phpdoc mailing list. I am in the process of removing relations between my "online name" (Xatenev) and my real name for personal privacy reasons. There are some E-Mails stored in the mailing list that include my real name aswell as my online name and they are accessible via google on marc.info<http://marc.info/> for example. I have contacted the author of marc.info<http://marc.info/> related to this issue and they removed all E-Mails that were originally written from my email address but they said they can not delete E-Mails where other users quoted messages from myself, but said they were gonna delete the mails if the underlying mailing list deletes them. That is why I am now writing a mail to you. The E-Mails in question are the following: https://marc.info/?l=phpdoc&m=149562896814084&w=2 https://marc.info/?l=phpdoc&m=149562746413669&w=2 https://marc.info/?l=phpdoc&m=148007710317983&w=2 https://marc.info/?l=phpdoc&m=148007525317516&w=2 https://marc.info/?l=phpdoc&m=147983008017413&w=2 Is it possible to delete these emails from the mailing list for privacy reasons? Thank you and have a nice week! Greetings Xatenev
