I am also in the same boat. My company is mainly Lotus Notes/Microsoft, and does a lot of Java. While I have no problem with Java, I would rather use PHP than Lotus Script or .NET. I research the following... 1. The cost of setup is free 2. Model-View-Controller design pattern can be implemented with PHP 3. PHP is faster on the web 4. It's increase in popularity 5. Since PHP works well with UNIX/Linux, so anything can be done 6. Fixes to the language come at a much faster rate than .NET and others. 7. Function library is awesome! 8. Upgrading to newer versions are free!! Where Microsoft will charge! 9. It's just better... On Fri, 2003-07-18 at 13:13, lackluster lackluster wrote: > I'm tyring to sneak PHP into my company.
