Thanks , for a very informational email, very helpful indeed.
I wasnt aware that PHP was opensource! :D

This is a quote from the webpage:

Note: If you are planning on making money off of our logo (e.g. you want to
make merchandise with the logo ... t-shirts, coffee mugs, pocket
protectors, etc.), then you need to contact
<mailto:[email protected]>[email protected] for licencing information. For pretty
much all other uses, there is no licensing requirement. For example: a logo
on your website showing that you use/promote PHP, even commercial websites;
course materials; a bunch of t-shirts for your own use and some friends, or
your user group; a PHP-related book; a banner for your computer group;
etc.. If in doubt, <mailto:[email protected]>ask.

So hey so as it happends my purposes falls under the above note or close to it
and I'd prefer to get a clearance from the ppl behind the logo to use it
instead of violating the license.
I wasnt complaining about OpenSource, I was just venting som frustration
over it ...

I got some better advice from the [email protected] though...
cheers
Jimmy
