Help, resources

I'm going to give a presentation about PHP ( being an open source web 
development technology ) in less than a week in a big conference. The 
conference will be held in Syria( foss2005.org )

Now, My talk will be non-techincal, more of a "Why PHP" I would love if 
anybody can give me some resources, statistics( e.g. netcraft ) and 
whatever you find suitable :)

The audience never heard of PHP probably, so i gotta make things pretty 
easy
