To add to what Brian said, I would also be concerned with promoting the
conference. Even though it's been around a while, as you said, it'll take
quite a bit of promotion to get the word out to the average PHP coder.

There have been numerous PHP conferences for several years now, but just the
other day as I was talking to some members of my user group about Zend Con,
the response I heard was "Oh, there are conferences just for PHP?"  Keep in
mind how clueless the average PHP coder really is.  :)
