Re: Launching a Conference

Elizabeth,

Jason and I share your concern here.  Publicity was one of the first  
topics he and I started mulling.  The Python guys are a fairly close- 
knit group and .Net has a well-established grapevine in the area, so  
others on the board haven't really expressed concern over this yet.

Dallas is kinda off the beaten path, when it comes to PHP  
development:  There's a lot of local activity and definitely  
widespread PHP use in the local job market, but it tends to be low- 
profile, nearly invisible work and rarely intersects with the  
national PHP community.

Jason and I definitely plan on taking a more active approach, but we  
expect to have to work harder to get the word out.  Any suggestions  
would be appreciated.
