The list is not dead, the list serves exactly for this, spread out new 
tecnologies and uses for PHP language and PHP groups to show enterprises 
that PHP is a mature and reliable technology, just like you did, you 
just show another php user group in which people support each other for 
free.

But I guess to seek out help for you community it would be better to 
post a message in the "General user list" there is a lot of people which 
could be helpful, both newbies and wizards.
