RE: [PHP-EVANGELISM] use.php.net

usephp.net has been obtained for the PHP community to promote the use of
PHP, etc, focused on a more enterprise centered approach.

We're working right now @ beta.usephp.net .

We have a design for it, which is being tweaked, and we'll need to put a
backend to it. I was going to put the backend to it, but given recent time
constraints, i'm happy for the help :)

After long discussion with the PHP group about this (and it was long), it
would seem the best way to start is to create a site away from the *.php.net
entity, and then look at integrating it. given the design etc are going to
be very radically different, I think this is the right way about it.

Also, we have phpwire.net, so we can build a site catered more towards
developers, ie, giving them code snippets, implemenation tips, and linking
in projects such as PEAR, php classes, etc. We could focus it as a portal
for developers.

It's definitely the right time to get the ball rolling; i would suggest
looking back over the archives, or posting questions, which Damien
([email protected]) or I will get to answer ASAP.
