I do see the white bars. What I would guess is that the software is not 
resizing this properly, or doing unnecessary tricks to achieve this 
goal. It would really help if you could dig through the code and provide 
the code used to generate thumbnails. It *should* be fairly short...

Also, what version of this software are you using? It looks like they 
updated a week ago, and the have a number of entries in their changelog 
about fixing product images (but nothing specific, so I don't know)
