Pierre,

I'm running Ubuntu (Breezy Badger) which is now one generation behind,
but was still current last summer when I installed it!

OK, this is enough reason for me.  I too hate to have substantial amounts
of different code for different versions, and gd 2.1.x seems like a
reasonable time to make the shift.

Were you planning any more 2.0.x releases if pressing bugs came up?
