want.

//attempt to create folder
mkdir($foldersystem);
chmod($foldersystem, 0777);

//save picture
if(!($handle = fopen($imagenamesmall, 'w'))){
   echo "Cannot open file (31)";
   exit;
}

This code works for me. How about you ?
