a basicly question

hi,

am installing php3, mysql, apache, libiodbc and myodbc.
During install-procedure of myodbc the option 

--with-mysql-sources=/usr/local/src/... is given.
What, if I have installed an RPM-based binary of mysql ?

Is it possible to install myodbc anyway or MUST I have installed mysql from
source ? My idea here is, that myodb is only looking for some libs and includes
of mysql. Is it so ? Am I right here ?

And how it is with apache ? For example : mandrake uses an apache with a lot of
good featers, but dont know, how can I use that apache with php and mysql.

Any suggestions or ideas ?
