Google soc 2010 ideas

Hi, people. I am a PHP developer for 5 years already. I am mostly
interested in MVC frameworks and ORM/XML binding model development. I
am searching for a mentor to apply to Google soc 2010. My main topics
of discuss are:

1. XML binding library, similar to ORM, but for XML models, with a
possible facility of translating PHP reflection driven manipulation to
appropriate Xpath expressions, for using in model layer of MVC based
frameworks
2. A library for mapping complex regular expressions(Posix) to PHP 5
OO classes, where expression nesting would reflect persistence issues,
representing both entity association and/or aggregation where needed

Please share your vision about all this. How actual is those stuff? John
