Install on Mac

I used FinkCommander to install gtk+ and libglade.  Then I built php-gtk-1.0.2 and it made /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/php_gtk.so

I tried test/hello.php and test/gtk.php and get
Warning: dl(): Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/php_gtk.dylib'

I can't find php_gtk.dylib, and as I said php_gtk.so is in that directory.

    dl('php_gtk.so');

So I modified gtk.php to try php_gtk.so and it gets a little further:
dyld: NSLinkModule() error
dyld: Symbol not found: _OnUpdateString
  Referenced from: /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/php_gtk.so
  Expected in: flat namespace

Trace/BPT trap

The archives replace underscore with a space so I can't find anything on php_gtk.so or php_gtk.dylib (or gtk.so or gtk.dylib).

I saw http://chico.benjamindsmith.com/phpgtk_osx/ but he seems to just get to the .so  I may email him directly.

I also changed
extension_dir = "./"
to
extension_dir = "./:/usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/"
in /usr/local/lib/php.ini and although I'm running from the command line, I started and stopped Personal Web Sharing before it would accept my modified php.ini.  (Elsewhere I read that the php.ini gets read on each Web invocation.  What about CLI?).  A little clarification here would be nice also.

For those of you wondering where php.ini is, apparently it reads from /private/etc/php.ini.default unless you provide /usr/local/lib/php.ini



How can I get php-gtk 1x to run on Mac OSX Tiger Intel PHP 4x (built-in
provided by Apple)?  Or maybe even in MAMP (PHP5 PHP-GTK2)
