I'm perusing the ports with "port search ." figuring all packages will be listed due to the version number containing a ".".  Is that the way to do it?

Anyway, I'm seeing gnome and kde packages.  Do you mean to tell me that I can run gnome and kde apps on my Mac (without reboot)?

If so, OMG!!  Between this and VMware Fusion / Parallels, I'm going to become a Mac fanboy post haste!
