I was able to test the demos (Actually from the main site's tar file, but I see macports' tar file). Thanks. (I'm working on different Macs. The one at home definitely has "man port". At work, I'm getting "No manual entry for port" WTF?! At least now I have web references) Anyway, at work, Porticus and "port installed" report that libglade2 got installed. But don't I need glade (proper) http://gtk.php.net/manual/en/tutorials.installation.macosx-stepbystep.php Step 6? "cd /opt" is totally unnecessary right? How do I launch glade? I don't have /opt/local/bin/glade-2 sudo port install glade gives me a big fat "I'm a package manager but I can't install the following packages" Staging p5-pathtools into destroot You must install or activate this package with '-f' (force) as it needs to overwrite files installed by the perl5.8 port Installing p5-pathtools 3.25_0 Activating p5-pathtools 3.25_0 Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: Image error: /opt/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/darwin-2level/auto/Cwd/Cwd.bs is being used by the active perl5.8 port. Although I would expect glade to pull in libgladeWhatEverItNeeded. Docs at Step 6 and 9 need updating? Should I be posting this at the macports list as well? At least about "sudo port install glade" errors? _________________________________________________________________ Boo! Scare away worms, viruses and so much more!
