Need help testing a fix

I made a fix to the build system recently and I need help testing it. 
This is the last roadblock to the version 2 release, so hope you can 
give me your feedback. This only applies to people on Unix/Linux/Mac OS 
X though who are able to do a CVS checkout.

Please test building with --enable-sourceview=shared and let me know if 
you run into any trouble. Update from CVS then remove buildmk.stamp and 
re-run the build steps starting from buildconf.
