But before we do anything=2C look how this GTK site stacks up to ZPHP i= n October 2013: http://imgur.com/y8optCU http://imgur.com/oo2lQCv Notice that's literally all that it was. A re-themed PHP.net. I came think= ing we were going to just follow the previous trend=2C but Alexandre=2C I'm= going to go out on a limb and say if we want to be different=2C we can be= =2C but we only have so many people here that want to work on the non-C sid= e of the PHP interpreter. That's limited=2C and especially since we've deci= ded to write the entire extension from scratch=2C something I don't even kn= ow how to do=2C at least properly alone. I will be tracking the code from t= he start so that I will be learning what goes on and then following suit (r= emember=2C I said I only have basic C++ skills=2C which are limited=2C but = I have learned in the past to go back and analyze the code to figure out wh= at the original author was doing=2C and this looks like the best place to d= o that and then add my own code in suit. I learned PHP before I learned C= =2C and anyone who learned C beforehand will say that it's a sloppy mess an= d doesn't follow conventional standards. The difference is that PHP isn't s= trongly typed=2C and probably never will be. PHP is how I went into C in th= e first place. I applied the basics=2C except I had to translate what I wou= ld do in PHP into C=2C which in a vague way is similar to PHP. It's vague= =2C and it really just depends on what side of the fence you started on. I = also found a project that aims to compile PHP code into machine code=2C or = simply a literal PHP compiler that natively produces PHP code into a straig= ht-up executable.=20 Anyways=2C I wouldn't know the first thing about Smarty because I've never = used it for anything. And PHP itself is a bigger controversy than I initial= thought after some research. Anyway=2C I'm just pointing out the trend her= e with the website=2C see links above.=20 > To: [email protected] > From: [email protected] > Date: Thu=2C 16 Jul 2015 14:10:50 -0300 > Subject: Re: [php-gtk-webmaster] RE: [PHP-GTK-DEV] Yes=2C particularly Gl= ade3 >=20 > Cage=2C > Good afternoon=2C > We want to be able to separate the layout of programming. > With smarty we can do it. > But also we want to create an identity for the php-gtk. > By this I think a different layout the php.net website standards is=20 > important. > I saw your post. > You changed colors=2C but when I enter the site it reminds me of the=20 > php.net site.
