PHP Security + Apache

php version         : 4.3.6 running as a loadable DSO module
Sun Solaris       : 8
Apache             : 1.3.12
 
My php website runs a s a Virtual Host.
I need to give my client 'WRITE' access to certain folders via a php login
website. By default php uses the user 'NOBODY' which the apache server runs
to write/delete files to those folders. BY default the folders have "root"
and "other" permissions. I will have a security issued if I give write
access to 'nobody'.
 
How can I allow php to write/delete files by a different user other than
'nobody'
 
Any help?
