help needed for imap support in php 5.2.6

Hi,

I'm currently working on a new linux centos 7.2.

The version I'm currently building is :
php-5.2.6
httpd-2.2.9
imap-2007a
mysql-5.0.67

I compiled imap with make lr5

Then I copied the files in /usr/local/imap-2007a (placing some files in lib and other one in include)...

When I ./configure (...) --with-imap=/usr/local/imap-2007a/lib the PHP

I'm getting the following error :
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/imap-2007a/lib/libc-client.a(osdep.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against 'ssl_server_input_wait' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC

/usr/local/imap-2007a/lib/libc-client.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [libphp5.la] Error 1

I don't know what I could do to solve that issue.  I would appreciate having some help.
